Türkiye's exports of buses, minibuses and midibuses exceeded $1.5 billion in 9 first months of 2023 (by Magazin Ulasim)

Exports, which increased by 66.78% compared to the first 9 months of last year, recorded a significant increase compared to the same period of 2022. Türkiye exported the most to France, Germany and Italy. There were also significant increases in exports to Iraq and New Zealand.

These conclusions were made from a compilation of the records of the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association.

Exports, which increased by 66.78% compared to the first 9 months of last year, recorded a significant increase compared to the same period of 2022. Türkiye exported the most to France, Germany and Italy. There were also significant increases in exports to Iraq and New Zealand.

These conclusions were made from a compilation of the records of the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association.

Exports, which were 918,949,000 dollars in the first 9 months of last year, increased to 1,532,695,000 dollars in the same period of this year.

  • Exports to France increased by more than 45% compared to the 9 months of last year, rising from 226,939,000 dollars to 330,427,000 dollars.
  • The second country to which the sector exported the most was Germany. Exports of buses, minibuses and midibuses to Germany increased by more than 107% in the January-September period compared to the same months of the previous year, from 91,283,000 dollars to 189,726,000 dollars.
  • The exports to Italy, which exported 66,909,000 dollars worth of buses, minibuses and midibuses last year, increased by 147.5% to 165,633,000 dollars.
  • A significant increase was also seen in the exports of the sector representatives to Spain, which ranks 4th in the list. Exports of buses, minibuses and midibuses to this country increased by more than 364% in January-September compared to the same months of the previous year, from 24,053,000 dollars to 111,778,000 dollars.
  • Among the top 10 countries with the highest exports, 84,542,000 dollars were sold to the United Kingdom, Romania 77,057,000, Poland 63,662,000, Israel 60,657,000, USA 50,815,000 and Hungary 48,115,000 dollars.
  • Exports to Lithuania, which is among the countries where the sector has significantly increased its exports, increased by more than 1271% from 2,435,000 dollars to 33,400,000 dollars.
  • In the same period of last year, exports to New Zealand, which exported 166,000 dollars worth of buses, minibuses and midibuses, increased by 2,904% and reached 5,012,000 dollars.
  • Exports to Iraq also increased by 2,836% from 148,000 dollars to 4,369,000 dollars.
