Scania will launch a new battery electric bus platform at Busworld

25 September 2023

At the coming Busworld in Brussels Scania will launch a new battery electric bus platform by presenting the low‐entry BEV chassis for class 1 and class 2 operations. The Swedish manufacturer will show a Scania Castrosua LE 4x2 which is developed on the new platform. Along with this, new charging and e‐mobility solutions will be introduced to support optimal BEV implementation and operations.

Also an upgraded version of Scania Touring and an LBG/LNG version of the Scania Irizar i6s Efficient will be exhibited. Scania says it will continues call attention to the need for biofuels and the potential economic and sustainable benefits related to it as the company emphasises circularity to tackle both environmental and societal challenges in support of more sustainable transport systems. New products and services within e-mobility will be launched and

recently introduced safety features will be shown, such as the new Smart Dash driver display. Earlier this year Scania announced it will stop bus production in Poland, the reason why this first bus to be launched on the new e-platform is a cooperation with Spanish manufacturer Castrosua. This bus can be found on the Scania stand 404 in hall 4.
