HANSEA CONTINUES GREENING WITH MAN LION'S CITY 10 E

12 October 2023

By the end of the year, MAN Truck&Bus will have delivered more than 100 electric buses to Belgian Hansea in ten years. Altogether, spread over the decade, we are talking about more than 400 buses and coaches.

Hansea is the largest independent private bus company operating in Flanders. Spread across Belgium, they own more than 800 vehicles in 20 locations. The transport group is the largest subcontractor of De Lijn in Flanders and the second largest subcontractor of TEC in Wallonia.

Ten years ago, Hansea started greening its bus fleet and entered into a partnership with MAN Truck&Bus for this purpose. At the moment, Hansea already operates 90 electric MAN Lion's City E line buses. By the end of 2023, more than 100 electric vehicles will be in service. The latest contract also includes the delivery of several MAN Lion's City 10 E. This compact 10.5-metre line bus is used for 'on demand' bus services. With this shorter variant added, the three MAN Lion's City E variants are represented in Hansea's vehicle fleet.
