German web-magazine Busplaner Sustainability awards handed over in Berlin

German web-magazine busplaner has awarded its “International busplaner Prize” for the sixth time since 2013. During an evening awards celebration as part of BUS2BUS exhibition in Berlin, winners in eleven categories and three special prize winners were honored. Sustainable product innovations from electric, hybrid and hydrogen buses to telematics and tire management were awarded.

In addition, there were special prizes for bus and coach operators, destinations and adventure worlds as well as transport companies who as Busplaner explains “concepts work in an exemplary manner towards a more sustainable future”. The jury team was formed by Anja Ludwig (KRAVAG), Horst Windeisen (TRANSDEV) and Robert Domina and editor in chief Claus Bünnagel (both HUSS-VERLAG). As one of the awarded companies ZF had a good start at this year’s Bus2Bus trade show. It won the International busplaner Sustainability Prize 2024 in the Vehicle Components category for its electric central drive, CeTrax 2 dual. According to ZF in its press release “the prize from the German Huss publishing house recognizes manufacturers and suppliers to the bus

and coach industry for their efforts towards developing commercially viable products and practices that also promote environmental sustainability”. In the “Hydrogen-powered buses: 12 m” category IVECO BUS E-WAY H2 was awarded with the price. In other categories among others Mercedes-Benz, VDL Bus & Coach, Continental and MAN were the winners. Tremonia Mobility won the award in the category mini- and midi buses for its new Sprinter City 75. At the Busplaner site all the other winners can be viewed.
