Daimler Buses will occupy a 2,700 square meter stand at Busworld. It will exhibit eight buses and coaches from Mercedes-Benz and Setra, as well as three more vehicles in the outdoor area ready for test drives, such as the eCitaro G Fuelcell. Busworld also has a first: the fully electric fuel cell eCitaro solo bus is making its premiere.
In addition, there will be an eCitaro with the latest NMC3 battery and the Brazilian eO500U city bus chassis as a European premiere. The recently unveiled Setra MultiClass LE is celebrating its trade fair premiere. The new top model S 518 LE can be found in the outdoor area: it is a three-axle intercity giant of 14.5 meters with numerous new safety features. From Setra there is also the ComfortClass high-decker, the TopClass super high-decker and the stylishly renovated Setra S 531 DT double-decker, all of which celebrated their premiere a year ago. Daimler Buses will also present new and improved assistance systems at Busworld Europe 2023 in Brussels. The new Active Brake Assist 6 (ABA 6) emergency braking assistant
for coaches and high-decker buses. ABA 6 can now independently implement emergency braking in response to pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, it reacts even more accurately to stationary obstacles in wide bends, lane changes and changing traffic. Daimler Buses introduces Preventive Brake Assist 2 for low-floor buses, the next generation of the active brake assist system for buses. This system responds to stationary and moving objects, including pedestrians and cyclists. The system can now also process several objects at the same time. The new Sideguard Assist 2 turning assistant has a new sensor concept that offers more accuracy and also covers the driver's side.
Frontguard Assist detects and warns of obstacles or people directly in front of the vehicle up to a speed of 15 km/h. Also new is the intelligent speed assistant Traffic Sign Assist that warns if the permitted speed is exceeded. The MirrorCam camera system that replaces the mirrors will remain an option for the time being. Omniplus proposes new service solutions, such as the new Premium Dynamic and Premium Regional Dynamic service contracts, which enable dynamic monthly service rates based on the actual mileage of the vehicles. And last but not least, BusStore is celebrating its tenth anniversary. The jubilee year is launched in Brussels with many campaigns.
