Otokar has marked another milestone with the 30,000th Navigo bus that rolled out of the factory. On this occasion, also the 5,000th Otokar Atlas truck, doing the heavy lifting for businesses for over 11 years, also rolled off the production line. The production of the Navigo started in 2002 and quickly became an indispensable vehicle for tourism and shuttle transportation especially in Türkiye.
Otokar, a Koç Group company, celebrated this milestone moment for the two celebrated models on the same day. The 30,000th Navigo, known as “Sultan” in the Turkish market, serving tourism, shuttle bus and public transportation operators for over two decades, rolled off the production line at Otokars Sakarya plant in a special ceremony. The same event also saw the 5,000th Otokar Atlas, the powerful representative of the light truck segment, roll off the production line. Launched in 2002 and named as “Sultan” in domestic market, it began its export journey under the name Navigo already in its
second year. Otokar states the "Sultan" is Türkiye’s best-selling bus in its segment for over 15 years and is exported to European countries such as France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Poland. Now a days the Navigo is active in more than 40 countries. The Navigo is available in lengths from 7.2m to 9.2m and various passenger capacities. During the same event, Otokar rolled off the 5,000th Atlas truck. With a line-up of 8.5t, 11t, 12t and 15t options, Atlas has maintained its place as a mighty light truck for over 11 years.
