After having won the public transport concession 'Zuid-Holland Noord' (ZHN) (northern part of the province South-Holland) in the Netherlands public transport operator QBUZZ has now chosen IVECO BUS as bus manufacturer to deliver the buses to operate this concession with. Qbuzz has ordered at IVECO BUS 102 CROSSWAY Low Entry ELEC and 38 units of the last generation of E-WAY. Delivery will be next year as Qbuzz is to begin operating the concession in December 2024.
The ordered CROSSWAY LE ELEC and E-WAY models are equipped with 6 to 7 battery packs depending on the vehicle model. It is NMC battery technology industrialized specifically by FPT for IVECO BUS, with a unit capacity of up to 69.3 kWh to meet operators' requirements in terms of daily range and passenger capacity. They will be recharged during night at the depot. High attention was given to improve the passenger comfort with unique features as air
purification system, specific phone holders, optimized seat comfort and heating integrated in the floor. All buses will have IVECO ON connectivity and fleet management services and will be live monitored during their lifetime. QBUZZ already operates in the Netherlands a fleet of more than 80 electric articulated buses provided by the IVECO BUS.
