Ebusco 3.0 bus composite bus obtains EU Vehicle Type approval

02 December 2021

Ebusco has obtained EU Vehicle Type Approval for its Ebusco 3.0 composite bus. With the EU Type Approval the bus complies with the EC guidelines concerning safety, environmental and production requirements. It means also the Ebusco 3.0 is now road released and can be registered in all EU member states.

The Ebusco 3.0 has a lightweight composite body based on aerospace technology. According to Ebusco the new electric bus can drive up to 575 kilometres on a single-charge. Because of the use of composite materials the bus should have an estimated average life span of 25 years. Peter Bijvelds, CEO of Ebusco comments: “Having this approval in place, in combination with having the funds secured for our international expansion strategy through our recent listing at Euronext, the Amsterdam stock exchange, positions us well to take advantage of the growing market and to execute on our roll-out plan.”
