The highly anticipated Busworld Vehicle Awards, the renowned competition that showcases the latest innovations in the bus and coach industry at Busworld Europe, is back with a bang for its 2023 edition. Buses and coaches showcased in the exhibition will be competing for the Grand Award Bus and the Grand Award Coach. Let’s take a look at the participants.
In the BUS category, leading manufacturers have submitted their best creations to compete for the top honors. The contenders include the Anadolu Isuzu CitiVOLT 12m, ARTHUR H2 BUS 12 M, Ebusco 3.0 12m, Higer Fencer F1 Integral EV, IVECO by HEULIEZ E-WAY, MCV C127 EV, Mercedes-Benz eCitaro, Temsa LD SB E, Van Hool ExquiCity (induction), VDL Citea New Generation, Yutong U18 and Zhongtong N12.
In the COACH category, there is an equally impressive lineup with vehicles vying for recognition. Among the participants are the Neoplan Tourliner L, Marcopolo Paradiso Double Decker G8, Scania Irizar i6s Efficiënt (LBG/LNG), Setra S 516 HDH, Van Hool T16 Astron, Yutong T15 E, and Zhongtong H12.
Test day on Saturday 30 September
On 30th September 2023, the Atomium's foothills will serve again as the test day venue where ten specialized jury groups, comprising operators and all kinds of specialists, will meticulously inspect the vehicles based on various criteria such as safety, passenger comfort, driver comfort, guide comfort, maintenance and ecology and design and ergonomy. Last but not least all the vehicles will be test driven on the public road.
Mark your calendars for 6th October when the winners of the Busworld Vehicle Awards 2023 will be unveiled. A Grand Award Bus and a Grand Award Coach will be awarded to the 2 vehicles with the highest overall score. For outstanding results, the jury can also award category labels for Comfort, Safety, Design & Ergonomy and Ecology.
