With the purchase of 5 new Setra S 516 HDH TopClass, Belgium operator Carolus Reizen is investing in more luxury and comfort for its travellers and sets new benchmarks for the future. Four coaches are decorated in the red-yellow colors of Carolus PrimaTours, the fifth new luxury Setra is finished in beautiful dark gray with golden accents of Carolus PremiumTours.
At Carolus Reizen, the customer base mainly consists of a regular clientele of people who want that little bit more. And in the eyes of Carolus Reizen, the Setra S 516 HDH TopClass is the answer. The new coaches for PremiumTours for instance is equipped with numerous options, such as the continuous glass panorama roof, a custom-made large kitchen with all necessary equipment, TSE luxury seats with comfort headrests, humidity control in addition to the separate climate control and USB connections at each seat.
“It is no coincidence that the Setra's are richly and comfortably equipped”, explains manager Marc Hoeks. “We want travellers to feel immediately a sense of luxury. The equipment of our Setra's matches the impression of the first contact with the driver and the tour guide, solid and luxurious. That is also why we have opted for a large space between the seats. For example, we drive with 44 seats, which at Carolus Reizen translates into a distance between the seats of 90 centimetres. In the Setra TopClass for PremiumTours, that space is even greater.
Carolus Reizen has grown from a company that mainly did school trips to a provider of luxury travel. Marc Hoeks: “We are the second generation in the company and have succeeded in expanding Carolus Reizen into a company for people who want just that little bit more. Our team of drivers and tour guides contribute to this feeling by speaking to our customers in their own language as much as possible.”
The Setra's are equipped with all-round view cameras and an extensive set of safety and assistance systems: the fourth generation Active Brake Assist, SideGuard Assist for monitoring the blind spot and Predictive Powertrain Control. Marc Hoeks: “The choice for Setra was obvious for us, partly because of the service organisation. If something goes wrong with a coach that is, for example in Italy, Austria or Norway, we know that the problem will be solved within 24 hours and that gives the drivers peace of mind.”
Carolus Reizen, with the brand names PrimaTours and PremiumTours, started in 1973. At the beginning of this year, the family business was taken over by the Belgian Group Waaslandia. It specializes in holiday and ski trips, city trips, shuttle transport, excursions and round trips, whether or not combined with the plane and guided river cruises.
