Irizar e-mobility has signed another new contract with Orleans Métropole to supply 7 12-metre electric Irizar ie tram buses. With this new order, the French metropolis is once again putting their trust in Irizar e-mobility to renew their fleet of buses.
The delivery of the first units is expected to be at the end of next year.
The Irizar ie tram for Orleans is equipped with cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, hubcaps and driving assistance systems, etc. The interior is notable for being an accessible, bright and pleasant space. 22 seats, 2 spaces for wheelchairs or prams and a ramp. They will have latest generation batteries with greater on-board energy than the previous buses. And they will be charged at night by slow charging in depots. The vehicles will be operated by Keolis Métropole Orléans. Keolis is present in fourteen countries around the world and they are one of the main public transport operators in France, Europe and the rest of the world. Irizar e-mobility have electric buses riding the streets in Paris, Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence, Amiens and Bayonne, among others.
