Masats is based in Spanish Sant Salvador de Guardiola and has announced the expansion of its facilities up to 25000m2, to increase its production capacity. It has obtained a new building of nearly 5,000m2 next to its excisting facilities. The new production facility will be used for the manufacture of aluminum doors for urban vehicles in order to meet growing market demand and to strengthen Masats position in the public transport sector.
This new area will also allow Masats to rationalize the workflow between other production sections, and add a 3rd production line for aluminum doors. "We are pleased to have new facilities strategically located, which will allow us to improve our logistics and production operations, and to undertake the growth planned for the coming years," said the CEO, Mr. Ignacio Elburgo. In the coming months, the company will carry out works
to adapt the building, with new investments to allow for greater efficiency in production, and the implementation of more advanced technologies. Masats has different areas of activity: automatic door systems for buses, coaches and trains; ramps and lifts for access of people with reduced mobility to public transport vehicles, and platform doors to improve security in railway and metro stations.
